Meet on arrival at the airport and transfer to your hotel in Nairobi where you will be awaited by your hosts to check-in. A safari briefing will follow later. Overnight at Hemingways Hotel, Nairobi HB.
Pick up from the hotel and transfer to Wilson airport for flight to Amboseli National Park. On arrival you will be met by the camp vehicle and transferred to the camp. Lunch at the camp followed by afternoon game drive in the park. All meals and overnight at Tortilis Camp.
Amboseli is known for its magnificent elephants – a population of over 1000 elephants reside in the parks eco-system that features some of the largest in Africa. The park is a seasonal swamp, during the wet season the waters spill over a large area, attracting many animals and a great variety of birds. During the dry weather the swamp dries up and the landscape is alive with swirling ‘dust devils’ and a shimmering mirage. The park is always dominated by the huge bulk of Mt. Kilimanjaro at 5895 M, the highest mountain in Africa.
Full day spend in Amboseli with morning and afternoon game drives. Tortilis Camp’s unique location on the western edge of the park , guests can enjoy an almost private Amboseli. The camp also offer private game driving within their own 30,000 acre Kitirua Conservancy, which is the western part of the Amboseli ecosystem. Take the time to leave the car behind and enjoy the small things – tracks, dung beetles, micro-ecosystems. The guides are happy to share their knowledge of the terrain, traditional uses of wild herbs and barks, and the Masai way of life.

After breakfast you will taken to the airstrip for flight to Nairobi and connect on to flight Nanyuki . On arrival you will be met by the lodge staff and take a 30 mins transfer to Solio Lodge. Lunch at the lodge followed by afternoon game drive. All meals and overnight at Solio Lodge.

After breakfast you will be driven to Nanyuki airstrip to catch your flight to the Masai Mara Game Reserve. On arrival at the airstrip you will be met by the lodge staff and transfer to the camp with a game drive en route. Lunch at the lodge/camp followed by afternoon game drive. The Masai Mara is famous for its astounding numbers of wildlife. With both resident and transient populations of lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena, giraffe, elephant, to name a few, as well as over 450 bird species, the vast fertile plains are dense with game. The area has been classified among the “Seven Wonders of the World” due to the extraordinary annual migration from July to October when over 1.3 million wildebeest and zebra cross from the Serengeti to the Maasai Mara in search of greener pastures. . Il Moran Camp is hidden in the cool shade of the riverine forest that follows the meanders of the Mara River. Each tent enjoys a private location from which to take in the beautiful and serene setting. Hippos wallow in the river waters below, elephants wander through camp, and the night time is punctuated by hyena whoops and lion calls.

Embark on an early morning game drives at dawn, returning to the camp in your own time for a full hunter’s breakfast, served al fresco overlooking the waterhole. After breakfast there is the opportunity to take another game drive along the banks of the Mara River, or visit some of our responsible tourism community initiatives, or enjoy a unique cultural experience with a visit to a Masai Manyatta (village). An early morning game drive followed by breakfast and transfer to the airstrip for flight to Nairobi. You will be met on arrival and transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International airport for your flight home.
