CT15 – 7nights: Nairobi/ Meru N.Park/Sweetwaters/L.Nakuru/Masai Mara

On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International airport, you will be met by our customer service Officer and transferred to the hotel. A safari briefing will follow shortly after check-in. Overnight at Ole Sereni Hotel on BB.

After breakfast, be ready for collection at the hotel lobby at 0730hrs and drive north to Meru National Park. You arrive in time for lunch at the lodge followed by afternoon game drive at 1600hrs.

For many years Meru National Park has been Kenya’s best kept secret, the untamed wilderness of the park is best explored for its hidden jewel. The park was made famous by the film “ Born Free” and George Adamson’s Lions. Meru is an explore’s paradise, the least visited of all Kenya’s parks and reserves, this remote region is a lush green Eden. Meru National Park is wild and beautiful, straddling the equator abd bisected by 13 rivers and numerous mountain fed streams. Animals to be seen are buffalo,, black rhino, lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant, eland, antelopes, lesser kudu, duiker. The rivers abound with hippos and crocodiles. Over 427 bird species have been recorded. All meals and overnight at Ikweta  camp. 

AT 0630 hours, you will be picked up for the early morning game drive to explore the luxurious jungle of the park and its animals.  Return to the camp later for breakfast and time to relax until lunch time. Later you will be picked up for afternoon game drive.  All meals and overnight at Ikweta  camp. 

Leave after breakfast and drive to Sweetwaters Game Sanctuary to arrive in time for lunch at the camp. After lunch you will have time to relax followed by afternoon game drive. Ol Pejeta Conservancy (informally known as Sweetwaters for the location of Sweetwaters Tented Camp), is a 90,000 acre wildlife conservancy situated between the foot hills of the Aberdares and the magnificent snowcapped Mount Kenya. 

The Conservancy boasts an astounding variety of animals including the non-indigenous chimpanzees and the big 5 (the endangered black rhino, leopard, elephant, buffalo and lion). The combination of amazing wildlife and stunning views across the open plains of Ol Pejeta guarantees an unforgettable safari experience. It is the only place in africa that offers the opportunity to see both chimpanzees and the big 5. The Conservancy is home to over 40 chimpanzees, 73 endangered black rhino, 5 endangered white rhinos, elephants, lion, leopard, buffalo, grevy zebra, giraffe, cheetah, thomson’s gazelle, black-back jackals, ostrich, grant’s gazelle, baboons, waterbuck, oryx, eland and several hundred bird species.

Leave after breakfast and drive down into the Great Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving in time for lunch at the lodge, followed by afternoon game drive to view animals. The park was created in 1961 as an ornithological attraction due to millions of flamingo which make the lake their home during certain seasons. The park contains a great variety of wildlife as well as innumerable birds. Animals to be seen are lion, cheetah, buffalo, leopard, waterbuck, giraffe, Rothschild giraffe, impala, warthog etc. Lake Nakuru National park was one of the country’s first rhino sanctuaries and both black and white rhinos can be seen here. All meals and overnight at Flamingo Hill camp/Sarova Lionhill Lodge. 

After an early breakfast, drive along the floor of the Great Rift Valley to the world famous Masai Mara Game Reserve to arrive in time for lunch at the lodge. The Masai Mara Game Reserve is the home to the largest concentration of animals in Kenya and is the Northern extension of Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. It is in this area that the annual migration of wildebeest accompanied by predators take place between June – Oct. Animals to be seen are lion, cheetah, leopard, elephant, buffalo, rhino, topi, impala, zebra, giraffe etc. Bird life in the Mara is fantastic. All meals and overnight at Sekenani camp.   

Full day spend in Masai Mara with morning and afternoon game drives.            All meals and overnight at Sekenani camp. 

Leave after breakfast and drive back to Nairobi to arrive in time for lunch. Transfer to the airport for departure flight home.
