CTM03-5 Nights In: Sirimon Out: Chogoria Route

You are met on arrival at the airport and transferred to the hotel. Overnight stay at Jacaranda Hotel on Bed and Breakfast basis.

Breakfast at the hotel. Then depart and drive to Nanyuki around Mount Kenya region to arrive in time for lunch at the hotel. All meals and overnight at Mountain Rock Lodge.

Transfer to Sisimon gate followed an easy walk to help acclimatization. All meals and overnight at Old Moses Camp (3300m)

Climb out of the north valley and into Mackinder Valley, one of the broadest valleys on the mountain, with many giant groundsels. All meals and overnight at Shipton Camp (4200m)

Alpine ascent to the peak Point Lenana – (4985m). This is a 4 hrs of stiff walking to the summit. Take your time to take pictures and a nice view of the peak. Descend to Mintos Camp for breakfast after which you descend down to Chogoria bandas. This area has nice views down into the Gorges Vallley with Lake Michaelson and Vivian falls. Overnight at Chogoria bandas (3020m) Day 6
Descend down to the park gate where you will meet your driver and drive back to Nairobi to arrive in time for lunch on own arrangement. Later transfer to the airport for departure flight.
