1.Prices
All prices are in US dollars and are net and non-commissionable. The prices are believed to be accurate however please note changes and errors do occasionally occur. You need to reconfirm the price of safari at the time of booking. All suppliers reserve the right to correct errors in both advertised and confirmed prices if they become aware of the error.
2.Making a booking
Once a booking has been confirmed a deposit of 30% of the total cost will be due within 30 days. Once the deposit is received, the services will be fully confirmed and a binding contract between you and Cheetah Tours Ltd will come into existence. Full payment should be received at least 30 days before the arrival of the clients.
3.Accommodation
Tour prices include accommodations and meals as specified in the itinerary in standard rooms on a per person sharing a twin basis. Single rooms are reserved at supplementary cost and are subject to availability. We reserve the right to book accommodation at alternative hotels/lodges where hotels/lodges named are not available. Hotels/Lodges/camps and Resorts mentioned by name in an itinerary are an indication of the category of property to be used and rooms may be reserved at similar categories. In most cases rooms in the lodges and tents camps accommodate a maximum of 03 persons.
4.Transportation
Transport on safari is provided by safari minibuses or 4 wheel drive vehicles depending on the destination. Our vehicles are custom built with pop-up roof for ideal game viewing. They are all fitted with high frequency long range radios for easy communication. The company reserves the right to employ the services of sub-contractors. All drivers are English speaking and multi-lingual driver/guides are available on request.
5.Special Requests
All special requests like single rooms, room upgrades, special dietary requirements must be made in writing at the time of booking. All reasonable efforts will be made to meet such requests but cannot be guaranteed and any failure to comply will not result in a breach of contract by us.
6.Tour Price Inclusions
Tour prices include accommodations as specified in the itinerary or similar in standard rooms On a sharing twin basis with private facilities where available. Single rooms are available at the Supplements indicated but due to limited facilities in lodges/camps, cannot be guaranteed.
7.Tour Price Exclusions
Tour prices do not include visa fees, airport departure taxes, beverages, laundry, Telephone/fax/email bills, gratuities, airfares both local and international and other expenses of personal nature.
8.Child Discounts
Children under 2 years are free.
Children under 12 years sharing a room with 2 paying adults are charged 50%
Except on balloon safaris.
Children are not accepted in the following lodges.
Salt Lick Lodge – Under 5 yrs
Treetops, Ark, Larsens T.Camp , Shimba Hills – Under 7 yrs
9.Cancellations
In case of cancellation the following charges will apply:
Between 30 – 21 days 25%
Between 20 – 14 days 50%
Between 14 – 06 days 75%
Between 06 – 0 days 100%
10.Liability
The company and its agents only act as agents in all matters
relating to hotel accommodation, sight seeing tours and transport either by
road, rail, aircraft, boat, ship, and any other means shall not be liable to
injury, illness, death, delays, loss or damage to baggage arising from any
cause. The suppliers do not under to arrange medical care except the Emergency
Flying Doctor service in Kenya & Tanzania.
The company’s liability to passenger carried in its own vehicles is governed by
the respective laws of the country in which the tour takes place.
In addition suppliers are not responsible for any losses or additional expenses
You may incur should any delays or cancellations of connecting
flights/transportation result in you missing your part of safari or onward
connections.
11.Alteration to Tours
Every effort is made to adhere to itineraries advertised to clients. However, should it be necessary to change the routing or lodge due to overbooking, weather conditions or any other cause the company reserves the right to do so.
12.Evacuation Insurance
We are able to offer Flying Doctor coverage at a nominal charge.
This is payable by clients direct to Cheetah Tours Ltd and the company in
return purchase the cover for the clients which covers for the duration while
on safari. The cover is optional but very essential.
All clients MUST have their own PERSONAL, MEDICAL AND TRAVEL Insurance. Cheetah
Tours Ltd is not liable for any damages, losses or incidences that may occur
during the travel
Gratuities No gratuities are included in the tour costs. No costs are included
in the prices for baggage handling at the airports or hotels.
Safari & Excursion Departures Once we have confirmed your booking we
guarantee the departure and in most cases our Safaris are booked and confirmed
on private basis. Therefore the pick up time will be indicated in each
particular itinerary as more often than not clients may wish to travel at their
own pace. However we will offer a guide on the pick up time depending on the
distance to be covered from one point to the next.
